Four entries, each named below. None of them holds anything about you, and none is ever transmitted to us or to anyone else.

records that our opening film has already played in this tab, so that it does not greet you a second time as you move around the site. Its value is the single character 1.

kul-journey-intent

records the moment you pressed a link to watch the story on our Journey page, so that the page can tell you asked for it. The page reads it and removes it as it opens.

kul-journey-at

records where you stopped watching on our Journey page, as a time and a scene number, so that the page can offer to resume from there.

kul-journey-open

records which scenes of the written story on our Journey page you opened, so that they stay open if the page reloads.

All four are kept in your browser's session storage rather than in a cookie, and that distinction is worth stating precisely: they belong to the tab you are reading in, they are cleared automatically when that tab closes, and they never leave your machine. Open the site in a new tab or window and the film simply plays again.

None of it is required for the website to function. You can clear everything described above through your browser's site-data or privacy controls for this domain, or avoid it in the first place by browsing in a private window. If you block storage for this site altogether, the site notices and simply skips the opening film; every page, form, and phone number behaves exactly as it otherwise would.
